The Origin of Genesis
I knew this was the BEGINNING of a new era. Partly why I chose the name Genesis, I wanted to create something new, something bigger than myself. I wanted to create modern day gladiators out of my athletes. I wanted to create an atmosphere of highly motivated people who wouldn’t settle for average results. I wanted to surround myself with success.
Desk job, can’t do it. Climbing up the corporate ladder, not interested. Working a 9 to 5 and living for the weekend, not for me. I wanted to create a lifestyle, where I could wake up every day and work on my craft, coaching the IRON. So I took a RISK, walked away from a respectable sales job to follow my obsession. After that I got to WORK. I studied training non-stop, I enrolled in a master’s program, I attended seminars, I acquired certifications and I began building Genesis.
2 and a half years later here I am, it has been hard. I took another RISK when I first opened my own facility, with only a few clients I didn’t know if I was going to be able to pay the first month’s rent. So I put my head down and worked, clients came and another goal was conquered. There have been ups and downs along the way, failures and successes, and I am still far from where I want to be, but I take solace in my hunger. It never leaves my mind, my determination to turn Genesis into a coaching facility that breeds SUCCESS.
Every day I will work hard, train hard, and be UNCOMFORTABLE to beat out normal. I want nothing to do with average. This has inspired my training. Ask anyone who is a member at Genesis it is HARD WORK, there is no easy day. I do not succumb to any fads or gimmicks, just intense body weight, free weight, barbell, and kettlebell work. These are the best tools to get RESULTS. No B.S. training. You won’t find stability balls, airex pads, or TRX bands here. You will find experienced coaching, no-nonsense training, and a culture that builds character, responsibility, and accountability.
